The customer returns with money.
A one-off deal proves the salesperson was convincing. A repeat payment proves the product was useful. I prefer the second compliment.
Entrepreneur · healthy business models
I look for healthy business models in a world where the business plan expires before approval.
I test them on my own projects: IT, AI, accounting, cross-border payments and new materials. A healthy business survives a technology shift, a currency move and its founder’s wandering attention. If everything depends on founder heroics, that is not resilience. It is a prolonged emergency.
01 · Health check
A one-off deal proves the salesperson was convincing. A repeat payment proves the product was useful. I prefer the second compliment.
If everything works only while the founder is online, it is not a business. It is a very stressful remote job with an impressive title.
Replacing a person inside the old process is cost-cutting. Rebuilding the process so it is faster, auditable and changeable through clear rules is a model.
Technology, currencies, markets and regulation move at the same time. Resilience means changing the structure without holding a funeral every time.
02 · How I search
Find what the customer already pays for and where the system destroys value.
One process, one customer and one measurable result.
Replace manual heroics with rules, a product and understandable economics.
Remove the founder, change the conditions and see what remains standing.
03 · Foundation
The base everything else stands on: engineering, finance, strategy — and the ability to hold a room of people together.
SM-3 department. Systems and engineering thinking as the base for everything else.
A management and finance lens under US GAAP: business as a system of decisions and numbers.
Entrepreneurship and strategy at the owner level, not the hired manager.
Beyond building systems, I facilitate strategic sessions and align people around a shared model.
04 · Laboratory
The projects are at different stages: operating business, new product, experiment and exit. I do not call every idea an ecosystem. First it has to survive the first invoice and the second payment.
We help enterprises change processes and IT with small, strong teams. Code is consumable inventory; value starts when people use the change and are willing to pay for what comes next.
The hardest hypothesis in the portfolio: can gas become PHA, agreements become a plant, and sustainability become sound economics without greenwashing?
An AI accountant, finance director and lawyer carry processes to completion under explicit rules and leave an auditable trail. A chatbot wearing a tie does not count as an employee.
Foreign-service payments, account registration and subscription records in one place. So a company does not discover on Monday morning that someone forgot to renew its AI service.
Lightweight corporate memory for AI agents: it connects chats, email, Drive, Jira, Git and finance. Context belongs to the company, not to the employee who remembers the link.
Workshops for engineers and teams. We test whether people can learn to work with AI faster than AI learns to work without them.
1,500+ incidents per month, 20+ projects and 35+ engineers. A working business and a useful reminder: a healthy model does not have to remain my favourite activity.
Earlier
A single platform from vehicle to finance. A subscription model for a business where a car should earn money instead of starring in an endless dispatcher chat.
An AI-based service for managing product listings.
A service that turned a shopping centre into an online store with product search and navigation between stores.
One of the first internet providers in the Pechatniki district of Moscow. The starting point: infrastructure and access when the internet was still exotic.
05 · Family
Family is not a separate brand. It is the context where everything else gets tested.
My wife Jacklin is a stand-up comedian, Black, the mother of our children, and the person beside whom my “I think” gets tested against “what is actually happening.”
Five children means five different people, each requiring a separate relationship. That is my growth area, not my achievement badge.
Birthdays, the road, the couch, winter walks.

06 · For partners
Not subordinates, not an entourage, not an audience. Three types of people — and some of them cover my weak spots.
My weak side is taking a finished model all the way to a contract, an owner, an off-take, a metric. I look for people strong exactly there: sales, distribution, deals in GCC and Africa.
I am moving from “building businesses” toward “owning assets” and want to learn from people who see deals as investors, not operators.
Equals who care how the system is built inside. People whose problems are bigger or more precise than mine, and with whom growth comes through honest questions.
07 · Speaking
Not publicity for its own sake. Only when the audience is ready to change its operating model.
08 · Channel
Counterintuitive principles for running IT teams: small teams, AI at the core, ownership of outcomes. The core question — how to manage change when the required speed exceeds one manager’s limit.
09 · Contact
If what you read landed somewhere real, write. If it is about a specific partnership, name the business and region in the first line.
